Well we thought that the cabin was lovely, much better even than the photos! Our second time at Big Bear but the first time we stayed at the Thunder***** Resort, avoid this over-priced "shack" that was probably the first ever building in Big Bear! Yours is a wonderful cottage with loads of character. Our grandma found it very peaceful ...sat out on the porch in the sun while we went boarding up the mountain. Not the biggest ski-resort in the world but for us probably the best. Europe has massive resorts but the people are often rude and the lift queues are dreadful. Big Bear has every facility you'd need and Europe seems to have all-or-nothing. Little for intermediates such as us. The cabin and Big Bear are perfect. Hope to stay longer next year. We drove up with a little snow Friday. Woke up Saturday with 6" of snow!! This was Jason's first playtime in snow. He discovered it's really cold & wet but kept going back for more! Very homey cabin & neighbors are very friendly. Thanks for all the amenities. Nice touches. Not sure if we will be back because now we want to own one!
